We connect the women’s health community with elected leaders around better care, coverage and research across the whole body and lifespan. Our focus is on systemic barriers where bipartisan consensus is achievable.
01
Menopause and midlife health
Better menopause care requires research, public education and clinician training. The Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women's Health Act would expand federal work in these areas. As documented in our October 2026 Strategic Update, four senators financially supported by WHPAC — Lisa Murkowski, Tammy Baldwin, Angela Alsobrooks and Jacky Rosen — participated as cosponsors in this bipartisan legislation.
02
Maternal health
We focus on systemic barriers to healthier pregnancies, childbirth and postpartum care. Our Strategic Update documents WHPAC-backed members' sponsorship or cosponsorship of four bipartisan measures: the HEALTH for MOM Act, the Maternal and Infant Syphilis Prevention Act, the Protect Moms From Domestic Violence Act and the Dads Matter Act. These address coordinated maternity care, screening and treatment, support for survivors and father engagement.
03
Research and clinical trial participation
Better evidence depends on including more women in clinical trials and producing more sex-specific data. The bipartisan Clinical Trial Modernization Act would support outreach, help cover trial-related expenses and enable remote participation. Our Strategic Update identifies Rep. Juan Ciscomani, who received financial support from WHPAC, as a cosponsor of the House bill.
04
Reimbursement
Coverage and payment systems shape access to care and the ability to sustain women's health services. In March 2025, WHPAC convened the first-ever bipartisan Women's Health Reimbursement Summit in New York, bringing together payers, providers, hospital administrators, investors and innovators. The work culminated in a policy roadmap published with the Women's Health Collective and Tribunus Health and shared with the White House, Congress, HHS teams and industry partners.
A note on legislative progress
These examples reflect our October 2026 Strategic Update. The bills described above remained in committee and had not received floor votes or final passage at the time of the report. Sponsorship and cosponsorship show legislative participation, not enacted policy or evidence that WHPAC caused a member’s action.
“WHPAC-backed” refers to members whose campaigns received financial support from WHPAC. Our support is not an endorsement of every position a member holds. We do not fund advocacy or policy positions on abortion.
